Comprehensive Medical Education and Training

Bangladesh Medical College (BMC), the first private medical college in Bangladesh, offers a rigorous 5-year MBBS program followed by a compulsory 1-year rotatory internship. Affiliated with the University of Dhaka and recognized by BMDC and WHO, BMC delivers high-quality academic instruction combined with extensive hands-on clinical training at its modern 600-bed tertiary care teaching hospital, preparing competent and compassionate physicians.

The Four Phases of MBBS Training

Phase I (1.5 Years): Pre-Clinical Sciences

Foundational knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry to build a strong understanding of the human body and its functions.

Phase II (1 Year): Para-Clinical Introduction

Study of Community Medicine and Forensic Medicine, emphasizing public health, preventive care, and medico-legal principles.

Phase III (1 Year): Bridge to Clinical Practice

In-depth learning in Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology & Therapeutics to understand disease mechanisms and treatments.

Phase IV (1.5 Years): Clinical Subjects

Advanced training in Medicine & Allied Subjects, Surgery & Allied Subjects, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology with intensive clinical rotations.

Note: The MBBS program is followed by a compulsory 1-year logbook-based rotatory internship for practical skill consolidation.
