The Department of Paediatrics is committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to children from the newborn period through adolescence. The department combines quality clinical services with undergraduate and postgraduate education, professional training, research, community engagement, and continuous quality improvement. The department provides a child-centered environment where children and their families receive appropriate care at the right time and in the right setting. Particular emphasis is placed on neonatal care, emergency care, in-patient care, nutrition, growth and development, immunization, adolescent health, and disease prevention.

Internship Training

The department provides hands-on clinical training opportunities for intern doctors, with exposure to paediatric wards, outpatient services, neonatal care, procedures, patient assessment, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Postgraduate Training

The department provides postgraduate training opportunities for FCPS (Paediatrics) candidates. Training includes supervised clinical practice, case discussions, academic sessions, presentations, examinations, research, and dissertation work.
