The Department of Nephrology at Bangladesh Medical College is committed to providing specialized care for patients suffering from kidney-related diseases and disorders. Department Facilities: 1. Daily Outdoor patient management. 2. Indoor patient management. 3. Dialysis Unit. Our department focuses on the early diagnosis, effective treatment, and long-term management of acute and chronic kidney conditions using modern medical approaches and advanced clinical support. Our experienced nephrologists manage a wide range of kidney problems, including Acute Kidney Injury, Chronic kidney Disease, Glomerular Diseases, Pre & Post Kidney Transplant advice and treatment of various transplant complications, kidney infections, Urinary Tract Infection, Dialysis patients electrolyte imbalance, and hypertension-related kidney complications. We provide Regular Haemodialysis as well as SLED both in Dialysis unit and also under ICU care. We perform Kidney Biopsy for various kidney diseases and also do Transplant Kidney Biopsy. We emphasize preventive care and patient awareness to reduce the risk of kidney failure and improve overall health outcomes. The department is supported by modern diagnostic facilities and collaborates closely with other specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care. Along with clinical services, the department actively participates in medical education by providing practical learning opportunities and promoting research-based knowledge for future healthcare professionals. Kidney Disease Management: Diagnosis and treatment for acute and chronic kidney conditions. Hypertension Care: Management of high blood pressure related to kidney disorders. Electrolyte Disorder Treatment: Evaluation and correction of fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Dialysis Support: Pre-dialysis evaluation and guidance for kidney failure patients. General Nephrology Consultation:Comprehensive assessment for various kidney-related problems.
