Promoting Public Health and Wellness

The Department of Community Medicine at Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) is dedicated to promoting population health, disease prevention, and health system strengthening through evidence-based public health practice, epidemiological research, and community-oriented medical education. Our expert faculty bridges clinical medicine with population health sciences, training students to address health determinants, implement health programs, and conduct health systems research relevant to Bangladesh's diverse healthcare challenges.
Equipped with field epidemiology units, health information systems, community diagnosis laboratories, and demographic surveillance platforms, we support national health programs, outbreak investigations, and health policy development.
